Who are the main characters in the novel? Do you like them? Why or why not? What is special about them? What do they reveal about the universal human experience?
Guy Montag – I like how he has a clear assertion. The special thing about him is that he doesn’t just adapt to the society but realizes the problem and tries to change it. I highly praise his bravery of trying to rebuild civilization. He reveals revolutionists in the history. He bears hardships and do what he thinks is right.
Mildred Montag – I didn’t like how she didn't understand and was not supportive to her husband. Since they are married couples, they are desperately needed for each other. I couldn’t believe when Mildred betrayed her husband by calling the fire station. However on the other hand, I felt kind of sorry for her when she suicides. This tells me that she is going through difficulties.
Captain Beatty – He is a strange character because he knows a lot about books but hate books. I wasn’t fond of him because his thoughts made me shudder, how he tries to do something with Guy Montag.

Ray's writing style is such that he develops multiple characters so that the reader can identify with at least one character. Mrs.Mc.
