Fahrenheit451 (7)

Are there any settings in this novel which you have found to be beautiful? or disturbing? or memorable? Describe these settings and comment on why they were meaningful to you.

The first time where Clarisse and Montag meet at night made a beautiful setting inside my head. The descriptions of the setting were detailed and wonderful.
“The autumn leaves blew over the moonlit pavement in such a way…”
“They walked in the warm-cool blowing night on the silvered pavement and there was the faintest breath of fresh apricots and strawberries in the air.”

Montag’s house was a disturbing setting because it had the three walls (televisions) and there was a conversation held between Montag and Beatty. The three walls, which are the televisions, are Mildred’s favorites. However it was annoying Montag and even me. There was a conversation where Beatty tells Montag about books and censorships. I thought the conversation was thought-provoking and interesting.

I have a question: is televisions that are attached to the wall just normal ones? or does it do the extraordinary functions? I am asking this question because in the novel '1984', which I read, there was a telescreen which is the device used to monitor people. If the televisions are also used to monitor people, there are similarities in two novels.

Thanks for asking!:)
The televisions in farhenheit 451 are the ones that the protagonist's wife is addicted to. This annoys the protagonist very much.

You reminded me why I love Bradbury's writing - his descriptions are vivid and tranquilly splendid. Mrs.Mc.
