Fahrenheit451 (6)

Please choose one passage from the novel that is significant to you. Why is this passage meaningful? Please type it into one of your entries and comment on what you think about the passage.

“Do you know why books such as this are so important? Because they have quality. And what does the word quality mean? To me it means texture. This book has pores.”

It's the part where Faber tells Montag the importance of books. He is emphasizing the quality, which means the meaning that the book contains.
This significant passage was meaningful because it sort of represents the whole story and it’s telling the value of books. I liked it how he explained it in a metaphorical way. I thought this passage could influence people about the importance of books in an easier way.
